They fit just about right. The slash pockets hang kind of funny, though. Overall, I like them. Time will tell whether I buy more.

Relaxed compared to regular fit
I bought these and the regular fit lined pants Dickies offers this year both 38 waist, these are easy to button and I wear them with a belt. They are good for a man with some butt, of which I don't have much. The regular fit offer would fit me better except I could barely button them, so they cut me in half. I need a bigger size in regular, but 38 is good for me in relaxed, Maybe could even go down a size in relaxed.
Style wise, these are pretty sweet, the flannel looks good when the cuffs are rolled up. I'd rather not have a hammer loop to catch on things, but it's useful to some.

Great Work Pants
After wearing Dickies flannel-lined carpenter jeans for only 1 day, I wonder how other designers of work wear like this decide to construct their versions of the product. ALL of the pockets are actually large enough to accommodate what they are designed to hold. I am so tired on the 5th pocket being too small to hold anything, as with other manufacturer's jeans or side pockets that are so snug I struggle to get tools in and out and loops that seem to be sewn at the wrong angle or height relative to normal arm length. After ordering these work pants, I realized I typically ordered from another manufacturer and regretted that I'd goofed, only to be pleasantly surprised when the Dickies work pants arrived and I actually had work wear that worked as it should. I'll never order another brand again. I'm sold on Dickies flannel-lined carpenter work pants and will wear and buy these from now on. Thanks for listening to those who wear them!
