11" Relaxed Fit Lightweight Duck Carpenter Shorts is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 50.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pockets are not deep enough; runs a tad bit large I have worn Dickies shorts forever. My wife got me four for my birthday. I noted that the pockets have been made smaller than they used to be. The top corner of my wallet is sticking out on the new ones, which I don't like and may pose a security concern. They need to go back and make the pockets deeper like they used to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great work shorts Great shorts for work. I've used these shorts for the last four years and have noticed that the material has thinned down over that period but this has made them more comfortable. The most trouble I have is that the buttons come off but for the most part the shorts are near the end of the life cycle by the time that happens . Maybe a larger back piece on the button would keep them on the shorts . Also the pocket on the side is great for a cell phone but like most contractors the heavy duty case makes the phone to big for the pocket . Larger pocket would be nice . All in all a great pair of shorts except for the button.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DISAPPOINTED I loved the DUCK shorts I purchased about 3 years ago and wanted to add to my selection. I ordered 3 new pair and they shipped VERY quickly (thank you), but upon delivery I found that the durable fabric of the previous pair had been replaced by a much thinner, softer and presumably less durable version. That said I figured oh well at least I have more color options now. BUT, when I tried them on as soon as you sat down the white from inside the front pockets was exposed and would not return to a hidden state upon standing again. SAD that so little fabric was used that the pocket lining is exposed. Returned immediately.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 11" Relaxed Fit Lightweight Duck Carpenter Short I ordered these online because they were available in my size, 34 waist. I ordered one each color for a total of five pairs. Shipping and delivery were prompt, no problem there. The first pair that I tried on I could hardly squeeze into. So out of the five pair I was able to pull two pair on with no problem. The brown and light brown pair. The other three colors I could hardly fit into. I had a pair of the light brown carpenter shorts that were a heavier duck and that I had bought at a local store so long ago that I do not remember when. They lasted until this year, too many holes. I will call customer service and see about trading in the other three pair that do not fit me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Shorts, but............... I really liked these shorts, they looked good, the quality felt good but there is something wrong in production. Washed them in cold water and dried them on cool setting as the care tag recommends, the waist fit perfect and the length was right and even the leg fit good. But something is wrong in the measurement from the waist to the crotch, talk about being cut in half, there was no way I could wear these let alone work in them. Its as if the crotch was cut for a junior child or something, not even close. I had read in reviews that the white pocket liner is visible, I think it has something to do with the lack of material in the front/crotch area. Bummed out I had to send all 6 pair back cause I really liked them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't care for the fit I bought these for summer work wear, I do not like the way they fit. I have the correct size waist but It is difficult to get my hands in pockets. Also they ride so low on the waist every time I bend over they are sliding off my backside.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Near miss Ordered these shorts because a pair of cutoffs made from a pair of duck cloth carpenter pants are my favorite knock about shorts. 2 things make these lightweight duck cloth shorts less than ideal: 1. They are lighter weight than I expected. Compare in weight to a couple of golfing shorts I own. 2. They are smaller in the seat and waist than Dickies pants. Had to return them and order a size larger to get a satisfactory fit.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Consistency and Quality Control Used to love these shorts. Purchased several pairs of these shorts in different colors all size 36. 2 pair in Duck color were true to size, but one utility pocket was so small it would not fit an iphone. A 3rd pair in Brown was labeled as size 36, but cut was so small that my son, who wears size 34, could not even get them on. Did get a refund from customer service, but am hesitant to order online now without being able to try on clothing first. Unfortunately no one sells Dickies in my area. Concerned that quality control is declining at Dickies.
