Respect the "drip"
I bought these pants for the style, not for work, so keep that in mind when you read this. These pants are seriously awesome. I had seen in Esquire and GQ that striped work-inspired pants like these are in style. These look better than ones made Polo and Taylor Stitch which actually copy these. Furthermore, these are a screaming deal. Today was my first day wearing them and I got a lot of compliments. My wife said they looked great. Several of my colleagues said they were very cool. I'm a high school teacher and my students told me I have "drip"--which is young people-speak for good style--I guess that's a good endorsement. I'm 5'10", 170 lbs. I ordered 32x32. I washed them in hot water and then put them in the dryer on high heat. They shrank about 1/2 inch in the length and none at all elsewhere. They fit comfortable and loose in the seat and thighs and they have a tapered ankle--they look especially good "pegged" 80's style. They looked excellent with my Red Wing boots. Even though they are made of relatively lightweight twill, they don't breathe, so they kept me quite warm. Here in California these are "winter" pants--something to keep in mind. I love them.

Much better than expected
These are pretty nice. I usually wear 33x32 but that size was out of stock so I went with 34x32 and they fit perfectly. Much nicer cut and fabric than anticipated, very good cost. I’ve been wanting a pair of “hickory” pants for a while now and had some high end fashion house type brands on my list that cost 4 times as much as these. I’m glad I found this Dickies offering. They are very comfortable and stylish.

Could be better
Wish the fit was like the regular carpenter pant. Fabric too soft and droopy Like most of these updates they miss the mark..

STRIPE Carpenter Pants
Wanted stripe pants for Cowboy Action Shooting W/rear pockets. These just what I wanted after I with help from daughter removed hammer loop and the tool pockets & shorten length by 3” (bought 32” needed 29”). Purchased the blue but plan on getting other two colors when they are available.

Excellent fabric quality
I was nervous that I wasn’t going to like it, but I’m glad I was proven wrong. As soon as I picked the pants, I was impressed with the quality of the fabric. Can’t wait to wear these pants tomorrow!

Great hickory stripe pants!
Great pants, nice weight, almost a classic straight fit but just a bit baggier than expected.

Beware of Awkward, Boxy Fit
I like the fabric and the style, but the legs are too wide in the larger waist sizes. I felt like I was swimming in them and immediately returned them (twice). Just because you have junk in the trunk doesn't mean you have junk in the whole car! You could have tapered them in some so they didn't fit over my legs like a robe and swallow my shoes whole. I don't think this will apply as much to sizes 34 and below. I think their design team just hit the Wide button and forgot it doesn't apply as much to thighs/legs as it does the behind.

As a woman these definitely are tight in the seat, loose in the waist, but I kinda dig it!

Longer Inseams Might Be Nice
The pockets are more than adequate, making these far more versatile for leisure than sweat pants, yet just as comfortable. My only issue is the inseam selection is a bit short for me at 6'5" tall. The solution was to buy the longest inseam available then slit the hem stitches, gaining me about 1-5/8" of inseam. I'm an old guy getting back to my 60s roots with the hippie fringe. They make for a seamless transition from carpenter shorts when the weather turns cooler.
