"Flex" material is stretchy, not 100% cotton.
I bought these not realizing that their "Flex" material is stretchy and not 100% cotton. They stretch and fall down. this stretchy material is like the pants my mother wore when she was in her 70's. The length is way too long--reaching below my knees. Whoever came up with this Flex idea ought to be fired. The last 3 pairs of non Flex shorts I bought were too long and I had to take them to a tailor to be shortened. It's sad that I can longer find the Dickies items that I've bought over the last 20 plus years. I've given up, it was a good run while it lasted.

Not long lasting
I've purchased these shorts 2 summers in a row and the failed within 3 months both times. I was hoping the first time was a fluke but its happened again. Purchased in May failed in August. Purchased in May Failed in July.

Improved design and fabric for work
Less sewing errors and the fabric appears to be more durable. Bit stiff but softer after few washes. Better fit though crotch and up rear them previous
