The hickory stripe women’s shorts are made with our authentic utility detailing. The high-waisted shorts feature our classic hammer loop and tool pocket detail, two rounded rear patch pockets, and a coin pocket on the front. I ordered these a few sizes up because I saw a lot of reviews saying they run really small, but they very much seem to run true to size??

Sizing WAY off
Fabric quality is nice but they are SO SMALL. I ordered one size up than my normal size (29) based on the reviews, but I would have had to order 2 or 3 sizes bigger for the correct fit. I could hardly pull them up and zip it closed (and I am not particularly curvy either). Bummer it is final sale.

“runs small” is an understatement
i have other pants from dickie’s, so i bought these in my usual size and they’re sooo small. which is crazy because my other dickie’s pants run large if anything. uncomfortably tight (like, unwearable) around the hips while loose at the waist, and i’m not particularly curvy. was looking for a relaxed fit (as seen on the model) and this is definitely not it.
also, realizing now that the size guide they have on this page doesn’t even have numerical sizes, so i couldn’t have easily found the right size even if i looked. i ordered a size 27 and the hips on these shorts are 36.5” across. looking at the brand’s size guide now (which i had to find elsewhere on the site) these are technically “true to size” (a 36.5” hip measurement for a size 27 is unusually small, but whatever) but NOT if they’re meant to have anything approaching the fit as seen in their photos. at my big age i don’t expect clothes to fit the exact same way they do on the models but this is like. bizarrely misleading. i’d have even taken something like “size up for a relaxed fit”
honestly seems like they just tweaked the men’s version slightly but didn’t change the sizing to account for women? idek. these do look really cute and seem well made though. they look good if i ordered a couple sizes up but it’s a guessing game atp. sucks because they match my absolute FAV SHIRT EVER from levi’s

Runs extremely small
I ordered my size (32) and the shorts would not even go up past my thighs. They run extremely small, I’d say the 32 would fit a size 28

Run a size smaller then the pant counterpart
I ordered both the pants and shorts (they’re the same style) in the same size. The shorts run an entire size smaller than the pants. Need to return and size up. I’m 5’7” 125lbs and the 26 was a size too small in the shorts but perfect in the pants.

Great pair of shorts
The fit was true to size, similarly with all dickies products which I love because it can be so hard to find pants that fit me body right. The color was super cute and the shipping is always so fast!
