New York Sunshine x Dickies Too Much Sun Sweatshirt

In the Spring of 2021, the Install Team at New York Sunshine set out to create an installation art piece in the high desert of Marfa, Texas that would be the foundation for their collaboration with Dickies. The idea was to use the installation to showcase the durability of Dickies iconic twill fabric by wrapping a stick-frame house in it and letting it wear in the elements until the fall. The twill fabric performed spectacularly, as expected, and the Install Team found a new appreciation for the overbearing power of the sun. This installation experience inspired the foundation for the Sun Dyed in Texas Collection – a New York Sunshine x Dickies collab. The New York Sunshine x Dickies Too Much Sun Sweatshirt honors that experience with its lived in, garment washed soft feel and traditional reinforced rib knit waistband and cuffs.
