My experience, great
Size is right for me. Roomy and sleeves are long. In past I have altered denim jackets to shorten the sleeves but decided they are better long, and when needed roll back. This jacket comes how I like it.
It blocks the cold The placket covers the zipper so you do not scratch things. There is a snap ring inside the hand warmer pockets so you don't lose keys. If you have done it, you know why its there. The shape and location of lower (patch) pockets is secure and good hand entry for fasteners and what not. There are other good features, and no weirdness. DIckies blend material lasts.
When cold, I wear a heavyweight fleece base layer under my work shirt, and then a jacket like this on top.

Disappointed
This jacket is OK and only just OK. It is essentially one layer of denim/canvas no lining. The action back has got caught on multiple things around the shop because it hangs out. I would consider this as a top layer jacket over a base and a medium layer. Because it has no insulation is only one layer it really can’t be categorized as a jacket it won’t keep you warm. I’m really disappointed in this jacket actually, I’ve ordered three Eisenhower lined jackets in the past and have loved them. I was going to order another one but decided to give the performance industry jacket a try. Disappointed in this jacket, was thinking about ordering the performance Loudoun jacket as well but I’m gonna have to rethink that.

Great Jacket, great service
This is a great jacket. It fits well and the multiple closure options are handy. I love the huge front pockets, as well. Be aware that this coat has no liner, which works well for me as it really accommodates layering with vests and such underneath. I had a problem with the first one of these I ordered; a snap came off during the first wash. I contacted Dickies and they immediately got back to me and replaced it. Amazing service! My only quibble/request is that these jackets come in some other colors, especially navy blue! A point of detail I asked about before ordering this: Yes, the white stitching is visible, which I like.
