Overalls fit the job just perfectly
I bought these for my son who is a forklift technician and most of the time has to work outside or in refrigerated warehouses. He needed something he could slip on over his uniform and take off easily when traveling between sites or when working inside. He likes the length and the found them super easily to slip on and off. They are warm enough for temps around freezing. The company issued overalls were much harder to get on and off.

surprised! Almost perfect fit right out of box.
I was quite anxious about the fit when I placed my order. Dickies' "Size Chart" was confusing at best as I was trying to decide which overalls and which size to order. I usually buy jeans in 36W x 30L. I'm about 5'10 and 200 lbs. Bit of a belly. Wanted to be able to wear warm shirt(s) UNDER the overalls. Also wanted to be able to reach my pants pockets underneath. Finally, my down Winter coats had to be able to fit over it all.
These coveralls hit all of these criteria.
I bought these in a XL S (short).
My few gripes:
- I get the side access on the chest pockets. Like the velcro closure. While secure, it's a bad place for a cell phone. Picture leaning over a piece of equipment trying to reach. More on that below.. Pocket(s) should have a slot at the top hem to allow for a pen, pencil or marker.
- The belly snap is positioned too close to the zipper's teeth making it sometimes awkward to connect the snap.
- The crotch fits surprisingly well. I don't like a lot of excess 'baggage' hanging below the crotch, and they fit good yet not tight. HOWEVER, the zipper could extend down another inch or 2 to make it less of a challenge to reach in and retrieve the means to empty my bladder. Keep in mind the number of layers to get through. And don't forget the 'Shrinkage Factor.'
- The double pocket on the right leg fits my Samsung S9+ just fine, but I'm not yet convinced it's a good location for a phone. Haven't had it fall out yet. More concerned about damage from bouncing against a hard surface (think equipment). A velcro closure on the inner pocket would be helpful.
- Last: The L10407BK kneepads do not fit well in the knee pockets. The right side leg consistently slid/rotated to the side and seldom centered on my knee when I needed it. May try using a heavy safety pin to restrict it to the left side of the pocket.
I have not yet noticed any deficiencies in its construction. Stitching is tight and I've only found one long (inner) thread that needed snipping.
Oh, the one probably most important thing - they will be warm & toasty easily down to 0°F and below. Assuming long johns and flannel jeans underneath.

Dickies cancelled my order then asked me to review
I think it is ironic that I am being ask to review a product that I ordered when I received
an email which stated that Dickies cancelled. You should really try to get your act together.

Couldn't be happier
We bought these for our son for Christmas and he said it was the best Christmas ever!! These Renegade FLEX Bib overalls are such good quality, they stand up to construction work, car repair, and he just hiked in Colorado in them.

overalls - Thumbs up
Fit perfectly. I bought them for my son and he said his only wish is that the top was warmer, but he just wears a heavy shirt under and a jacket over and he is fine.
So far quality is good - fingers crossed.

Honest review.........
Overall these bib's are good. The fabric does indeed repel water but NO they are not waterproof!
They do run on the larger size. I am 5 8 200 and went with the XL Short. They are big on me in chest.
Also and this is a knock on Dickies.....for the money these cost you would think the chest and back areas would also be insulated but there is no insulation layer top area of bib.
I am somewhat happy but think I overpaid for these.

Fits snug around the waist
Bought this item before the length option was available. I purchased the medium since I’m short and didn’t want it to drag on my boot. Unfortunately the waist is very constricting and have a hard time getting the zipper up. I’ve used it a few times and it’s still in good condition keeps me warm it fits well all around except around the abdomen. It makes it hard to breathe and difficult to feel comfortable. I have regrets getting the medium I should have gotten the large but the length was a worry to me at the time. If I would have waited for the length option to be available I would feel very happy with the product but unfortunately going to have to purchase a new one elsewhere.
