Rated 4 out of 5 by RR Man from super tough I have worn these pants for 25 years and have had good luck with them. They are tough and unlike denim jeans if they get a small hole they will not shred and tear. I work in the railroad industry and wont wear anyother pant as these last and last and I feel are a good buy for the length of wear I get from them. I do feel some of the quality has gone down in past years I have ordered. I have had 1 leg more flexible than the other like the material was not the same. The only part that seems to wear for me is the top of the right pocket. Overall I will continue to buy them for another 25 years as long as they stay the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ChrisRice from Perfect for work Bought these for work at the fire department. They do well for looking nice to go into people's homes or for public education events, and hold up when working on trucks or stuff around the station. I prefer these with the jeans type front and back pockets over the slash cut type pockets on the other dickies pants. I've had a pair for over a year now that have not faded and still look great, and I just bought a few more pairs. These are my go to pants. I wear 36 in most pants but I get these in a 38, the 36 is tight where most 36 aren't on me. Also I get 34 lengths on my jeans, but the 34 on these is really long, I should have got 32s. Kind of weird but not a huge deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by rangemasterken from A good substatute for my uniform pants. I hate my uniform pants provided by my work, so I buy these because I am allowed to buy my own as long as they are the right color. I like the style and the quality but not the material. I never liked the feel of synthetic on my skin. I wish Dickies sold these in cotton. Over all good pants but the material fuzzes up soon after you start to wear them. I tried using a clothes shaver on them but it didn't help much. The fuzz wears off after a couple of months. The pants last about six months, then they start to get holes in the heavy wear areas. I've had three pairs now and they all do the same thing. I keep buying them because it's hard to find brown work pants in a blue jean style. I like Dickies in general. I just wish they were made in America.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nicekdofge from Used to be better I use these everyday for "uniforms". I buy five new pairs every year or so. They do truly stay dark, and are extremely tough. For some reason now they "pike" or gather little balls on the surface. This is the only reason why I've bought the last set of five.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Doug 1971 from Well made durable uniform jeans. -- Dickies, Regular Fit 5-Pocket StayDark Pant is a well made durable uniform pant, that has the advantage of JEAN back pockets, which work so much better in the service industry than the clumsy bag pockets that come in normal work pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by keng from handy thigh pocket the handy right thigh pocket is great fot the phone. the horizontal top ( jean style ) front pockets are SO much better than the stupid vertical ( like dress pants and most khakis ) slit pockets which are useless. I told my boss that I have zero qualms about the color or fabric reqired for uniforms...but those vertical front pockets I refuse to wear. THIS style is perfect for both.
