Not exactly "ripstop"
I was pretty disappointed with the shorts I purchased. Have owned many Dickies shorts before and all of them held up well. These did not. When they arrived they were two different sizes, even though both said they were 30's, one felt more like a 33 and the other like a 29. Both shorts ripped in the first couple months. One in the front leg, the other in the rear. I use these for work and thought for the price they may hold up better than they did. I would stick to some of dickies other shorts if you choose to go this route.
