Something changed
I don't know what's happened. I've been wearing 874's for 30+ years so I know how they fit. I recently bought a pair of the 874 flex pants and I bought the same exact size I have been for about 5-6 years. Same exact color, waist, and inseam that I did last time. The fabric feels different, they are an inch or so longer when it actually says the same inseam, and even though they appear to be about the same size waist I can't even get them on! I don't know what the heck the deal is. I laid them down over my other 874 pants. As I said before they pretty much look like they are the same size waist but they don't fit! They are ever so slightly smaller but not enough to make it to where I can't put them on.

Sizes messed up across different styles of pants
Previously I bought Duratech Ranger pants in 32x30 and I love them. When I tried to buy more this time, Dickies doesn't have the color my job requires in stock. I tried the Flex 874 in the same size and that was bad. Way too small in the waist. How can Dickies 32x30 be different from one style to the next? Are they using a different unit of measure for different styles? I had to go to the store in Fort Worth and exchange them, not convenient. Dickies, if you are reading this, contact me for a tape measure so your entire line can be the correct sizes.

38-40 That’s my story…
These are a great pair of rugged pants that does well in my outdoor work environment. The only downside for me is that I had to go up a size larger, which meant going through the whole return by mail process. Other than printing the return label, the process was seamless.

Always different
Look, I love Dickies and they are really the only pants or shorts that I wear. I do not understand why every single pair of pants I get from them is different in every way possible. My last order was size 36X30, 874 flex work pants. I ordered 2 different colors. Both are great and very close in size. Both have the "active waist" which stretches and is really great. They also had the "cell phone pocket". This pocked is cool, but not a big deal.
My most recent order was for 2 pairs of 874 Flex work pants in different colors. One pair is at least 1-2 inches smaller in the waist. Neither pair stretches in the waist at all. Neither pair has the "cell phone pocket". Not a deal breaker, but different.
I have almost always ordered at least 2 pairs of pants or shorts when I order to save on shipping. Every time they are a different measurement in the waist or feel like different pants all together.
Would be very nice if there was some sort of consistency, especially in such important details. The waist should be the same size, or at least close. The "active" waist should stretch at least a little bit. My new pants honestly feel like the wrong item with the work "Flex" put on them.
Like I said, I love Dickies when they are right so I will keep coming back. I'm just wishing they would be more consistent.

I'm 5''10 200lbs with a pot belly 35-36'' waist so i ordered a 38'' 874® FLEX Work Pants
and there a perfect fit with a bit of room to tuck a shirt so order 2'' larger than your jeans..
i work in an office and they look like dress pants also. Dickies for life!!!!!

Size of pants is very inconsistent.
Pants are good quality but the sizing is very inconsistent. You can order pants one time and they fit great and order the exact same size and type of pants again a few months later and they will not fit the same.

Wrong Size but love the brand
I’ve been trying to bulk at the gym in earnest, and it’s working but none of my pants fit anymore. I ordered my pants a size up (24) but I guess the bulk is working a little too well and had to return these, haha. I’ve loved dickies products for years so from what I could tell the product quality is still top-notch, I’ll just have to get a size-up in the future.

These work pants are the best for work and all other functions or outings. The style never gets old and the last a good long numbers of years
under all conditions and whether. The best is it never gets wrinkled or stained under worst conditions for work. I love these Dickies

874 FLEX better for real life use.
The 874-FLEX are as good in quality as the original. They offer real life belt loops that accommodate the size of real leather work belts (a big plus for me). The added "flex" is also nice for most of us that are not "mannequins". I wish the depth/width of the front pockets were a bit larger to accommodate a man's hand and wallet or keys/change comfortably; for both original and the FLEX work pants. Over all....both are a good buy.

Literally the only work pants I will ever wear. I’ve been wearing Dickies for close to ten years and can never go back to anything else. Great fit and great quality. I work a job that creates a lot of wear and tear on pants and a pair of Dickies will hold up for years.

Still great work pants
These are great pants with a little flex where you need them. I bought two pair, one sand, one blue, but they are not available silver/gray why?
Also, they are made of good quality from Honduras, so no complaints. Unfortunately, there are no longer made in the
USA. My last pants lasted 15 years and they were worn a lot. Still a good deal.

Comfortable, but falling apart fast.
My husband says that the flexible material is way more comfortable than his other khakis. However, he noticed one of the side seams coming apart the first time he wore them. These were our second attempt at ordering new work pants for him from Dickies. They were to replace a different pair that had the button pop the first time he wore them. I'm disappointed in the quality/workmanship!

Not the Dickies I know.
I have given this order 1 star because there is nothing lower. On the new pants that I received and returned; 1. they were marked 36x30 (the size I ordered) but the waist measured 30". 2. the fabric felt cheap and synthetic. the belt loops were twice as wide as they were on the last pairs that I had bought, easily twice as wide as needed. 3. The closure at the belt line was a button but has been replaced with a cheap metal "hook and eye" type closure. Overall "CHEAP","INFERIOR", "POOR QUALITY".

Small belt loops
I have been wearing the Flex 874s for work for quite a number of years. My most recent purchase has a problem, the belt loops are smaller. My belt takes a little work to thread it through, but the end of the belt after the buckle is near impossible to get through the first loop. Are you trying to save a few pennies by making the loops smaller?

Pilling khakis
Being a bigger guy I don't like the straight men pants. They end up being too baggy when you get size 50 waist. Either way I don't like how it pills. It's not noticable on darker colors but on the khakis they are more noticable.
