Dickies 1922 Vintage Fit Military Pants

$198.00

In honor of Dickies 100th Anniversary we have reproduced a pant we made during World War II. This special pant has a Hollywood waist, with the waistband made as part of the pant instead of being a separate piece that is sewn on. Inside the button fly is a feature known a gas flap, designed to protect the body from poisonous gases during war. Dressy belt loops and a small coin pocket are additional features. The pant has the full rise and wide leg of the original. The Suntan color is an 8.5 oz. twill and the Dusty Olive is 8.5 herringbone weave so both fabrics come from traditional military history. The pocketing is the unbleached twill used in durable vintage pants. This pant has special Dickies Best label that dates from the 1920’s.

A fairly true original trouser

"Traditional fit. That means the rise is high and the pant leg is full. These are particularly good for larger or muscled guys that need more stride ease to allow larger legs to swing free. Quality twill that is sturdy and durable, but not overbuilt or harsh the way heavy denim can feel. Buy try to side or a size small (they sit at your true waist, or belly button) which is slimmer than your hips,"

Worth every penny

"These are amazing pants. Great quality. And the fit is spot on. I've worn 32x32 pants all my life, and these 32x32s fit like a glove."

Best of Dickies - a nice throwback

"These pants are just like my grandfather wore all through the 60s and 70s. Till he passed. Don’t miss these."

No, obviously these are not ""vintage fit"" pants

"Remember those old photos of your great grandad over in Europe in WWII? Remember how he wore pants constructed from at least the entire sail of a schooner? Like each of his pant legs were easily as big around as a polar bear? And there was another photo of him in his boxers, draping his trousers over his airplane to camouflage it from above? And that other photo of him jumping out of a plane and using his trousers as an oversized parachute? Or one of him tying his trousers across a narrow channel in Norway to trap a German submarine? Or lying his freshly washed trousers over the deck of an aircraft carrier, and they still drape over the bow, sides, and stern? What's that? You don't remember those photos? Well, someone at Dickies took a bunch of hallucinogenic mushrooms and imagined they did, and then designed these trousers. Vintage military pants were roomy, sure. But these are the product of a deranged mind."

Very cool pants, missed mark on stitching quality

"Love these pants and how they fit. The material feels nice and durable, but the stitching was not amazing. Noticed a few loose threads on arrival, but figured it wouldn’t be a big issue. Stitching in the back pocket gave out on first wash, even though I washed on delicate cycle by themselves. Slight let down for the price."

Super like, roomie pants

"Rooooooomie pants. Maybe more than the photo. True to 1922 style in waist and structure. Go look at wwII pics."

$198!?

"Two hundred dollars for a pair of Dickies? Y’all lost your minds? You seem to be forgetting what one of the many, but most important benefits of the brand; the affordability! I understand that things have gotten more expensive with the changing climate, but $200!?!? This is NOT the way. Too bad really, the pants look cool."
