Very comfortable for a big guy.

Pretty good
These are the best shorts I have had. I have a hard time finding shorts that fit me right and I have a hard time finding shorts that actually measure what the manufacturer says they measure. These are just about perfect. My only complaint that really isn’t a complaint is they could be narrower at the bottom of each leg. The bottom is very wide. Legal get smaller too to bottom and it seems they could taper just a bit as they get to the bottom of the short leg.

Denim shorts were not as thick and they smelled moldy. I tried washing them before I realized you could not return if washed. Will not purchase again.

My carpenter's shorts and quilted vest.
Dickies is my new favorite when it comes to casual and work wear.
The carpenter's shorts I bought are perfect in fit and comfort and construction.
I also purchased a quilted vest several months ago and wore is constantly for the rest of the winter. The price points make the clothing that much more fantastic.

Dickies shorts sizes
I ordered 2 pairs of the exact shorts which i already own however the fit is not the same. The 34 waist seems correct but the legs are 2 sizes too big.

Dickies Carpenter shorts.
I have been wearing Dickies denim Carpenter Shorts for over 15 years. I was surprised to see the all cotton was no longer offered in my size but ordered the cotton/spandex just to see If they may work for me. I am wearing one of four pair as a trial and so far, I am not impressed. They are well made but have the feeling more like a dress pants. For me, they are too stretchy as my waist band puckers when i draw up my belt. Its really hard to tell if they are not true to size or if they are just too stretchy. The legs are not as long as their old 100% cotten pairs were. I will continue to wear this one pair to see if my opinion changes over time. Right now, I am on the fence as to whether I will return the other three pair. I like 100% cotten for my work clothes.

Have worn relax fit Dickies in shorts and jeans for years was very disappointed to find they no longer are produced. these Active fit are nowhere like the old shorts. Read the display and decided to try a pair as the originals are no longer available. Was very un happy I'm not the type of person to wear spandex.

Good shorts if you take in the waist three inches.
Shorts are okay but they are more like size 38 instead of the size 34 I ordered. It says 34 on the label but I had to take them in about 3 inches. Good thing I can sew. At least they are actually 11 inch inseam like they claim.
