Could be better...
Love the look, love the fit, but I feel overall this jacket just falls short. First off, after wearing it once in a light rain the waxed outer has become very splotchy/patchy, even after fully drying out (this is a minor gripe, considering its maybe still breaking in). My second issue is what seems like a poor quality zipper -- its very difficult to mate the zipper pin along the hem with the dual-zippers, often requiring multiple attempts and at times jamming (and its not dirty). I would've gladly payed $5 or $10 extra for a higher quality zipper because this thing is supposed to be a work jacket that gets used a lot. I'm worried that in a few more months the thing is gonna fail all together.

Just buy it
Want to share my thoughts since there is still not a ton of info on this jacket out there. I have been chasing a comfortable roomy jacket for some time. I have many jackets that all “fit” but I’m a large guy, 5’11” 260lbs with broad shoulders. This jacket fits me like a glove. I have an OG Eisenhower in XL and while it’s fits ok it is tight in the shoulder and shorter than I like. Dickies added the room needed in the shoulders and the length is perfect. I went with an XL and again the fit is great. Overall the jacket is very well made and feels like it will last.

Great, not perfect jacket
Great jacket, very warm. The reason for a 4 out of five review, the zipper is taking forever to break in and the left side waist adjusting snap refuses to stay snapped in either position.

This is the best deal for a waxed jacket that I have found. The quality is top notch! I have a couple other more expensive waxed jackets and the Dickies is as good as or better than the competition. A+

Solid jacket
This is my first Eisenhower jacket. The original always looked a bit loose fitting so I went with size small. I'm 5'9, 160lbs, avg to athletic build. The arms a little tight but not bad. I'll sure this will be ok with some break in. It fits a bit loose but not bad. I usually go for slimmer profile clothing in general. Typically, I'll be wearing this with just a t shirt or maybe a thinner/lighter hoodie.
I hope it holds up to the day to day work in a brewery.

Looking for Trade??
This jacket is so sick, I love the detailing and the interior of it. It runs larger than I expected so I haven’t been able to wear it unfortunately. I got a large when I think a medium or small would do. If anyone is interested let me know!

I really like it, but when I saw it has a “modern” fit, I figured that meant more slim, so I ordered a large. I definitely should have ordered a medium, because it’s too big, which is disappointing because it’s a nice jacket. Anyone wanna trade their medium for a large?

I have given this a five star review even though it’s not perfect because this is the kind of jacket dickies needs to make and they’ve done a very good job of it.
I have only a couple of nit picks. I would put a zipper on the inside vest pocket. The medium size I ordered is too large in the waist. I am 5 foot eight and 150 pounds therefore pretty average size but the medium is too big in the waist. The arms are a tiny bit long, but are acceptable. I think it’s priced a little high.
Overall, however, a very cool and timely, waxed jacket.

Beats My Flint & Tinder Waxed Jacket
Not a whole lot else to say other than this jacket nails it. Fit is incredible. I love that the sleeves are lined with a slick, quilted material. Makes entry and exit easy. The blanket liner in the chest + back is a nice added warmth element. I would say this is a perfect jacket for mild temps. Not a cold weather jacket.
Beautiful cut and get a lot of compliments on it. The level of waxing is perfect. My jacket was slightly darker than the image showen on the website and is already starting to break in - which is very welcome as it adds character to the finish.
I'm 200lbs and 6 foot tall. I ordered a medium and its perfect. I wear it mostly without layers underneath so if you are my size and plan to layer, i might size up to an L.

Beautiful jackets but zipper was broken
Beautiful jacket. Great quality but I had to return due to a broken zipper. Tried to buy a replacement but it was sold out. Please note, this is cut larger than all my Eisenhower jackets I own. I would size down cause u can’t exactly wash and shrink it due to the wax. Dickies Please release more!!!!!

I was pumped to see dickies do a run of this jacket model in waxed canvas. Looks great. Super sturdy. I couldn’t tell from the product description what the sleeves were lined with, but happy that it’s slick quilted insulation and not the flannel to make layering much easier. The fit is great. I’m 6’2” 185lbs and ordered a M. sleeves are a little tight, but the back panel makes movement easier. My biggest issue is the inside pocket is way too high. It’s Basically at the outer breast pocket height and should be way lower to make its use more practical.

Awesome jacket.
Just arrived. Very impressed with it. Lightweight but warm. The color is amazing. Can’t wait to see it with wear marks the more I use it. Fits great, I went with a medium instead of my usual large.
