Dickies Boys' 873 Slim Fit Pants, 4-20 feature the same great style as our men's 873 pants, but in boys' sizes 4 to 20. Featuring a slim fit, a straight-leg style, two back welt pockets, and a printed Dickies interior waistband, these pants can help boys look and feel their best. Made of our signature twill blend, this durable fabric has been constructed specifically to be resistant to stains, wrinkles, and fading. These also make great school (and after-school) pants.

Sturdy pants
I love these pants for work. They're comfortable are very sturdy. I would have given them a five star rating except for the fact that the boys size 12 is inches too short and the size 14 is too big in the waist....I have to sew darts into the waist and wear a belt. By the way, I'm an adult.
Yes, I do have to shop in the kids dept. on occasion for stuff like this.

WAISTBAND SHOULD BE ADJUSTABLE
I have been buying the regular pant and thought I would try the slim version because we do use the tabs on regular and make a big adjustment to the waist.
However, the regular works just fine and my grandson gets a lot of wear out of these pants. The waistline on the slim pant is to big and just sticks out. I will only get regular sizes going forward instead of slim fit.

I bought these pants for my son together with a couple of shorties. We have been buying them regularly for a fe w years. They are a classic model and brand. They all look great and are very resistant (the ones I bought a couple years back are still in great condition, albeit he is growing like there is no tomorrow).

Great fit, but fade very fast
I purchased four pairs of black Dickie’s pants for school uniforms. These pants faded within two washes, and I have a water softener, and use the best detergent. I really like the Dickie’s pants for the kids b/c they do hold up, especially at the knee where my boy usually tears his pants. I would have actually given these five stars, but they faded way too quickly, and am having to replace them. Even the pants I purchased from a children’s place store still have their color after the same amnt of washes...

These were bought for work because they wear so well. I'm a very petite women, and often find myself shopping in the kids dept. I'm not ashamed of that fact, but I will shop wherever I have to, if it will save me money. I do, however, have to sew them in because i have such a small waist.

Nice pants just isn’t really slim
My son is super skinny and these pants fit him super big and it doesn’t have an adjustable waist band like the regulars do I suggest just purchasing the boys regular instead of slims the regular waistband is actually slimmer and it’s also adjustable I will be returning these and getting more regular straight leg double knee

Very good pants for skateboarding!
