Product Reviews

Women's Original 774® Work Pants is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 569.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Substitute I am a Female Firefighter and I was tired of looking like Humpty Dumpty in the issued uniform pants and I did not want to spend $70+ on a pair of pants made of the same material. I have a smaller waste 28" and fuller hips 41". I ordered these pants in 12reg. They fit great. PROS: The pants sit comfortably below the waste and just above the hips. Great fabric, durable fashionable. CONS: Pockets are waaay too small. I can barely fit my cell phone in my pocket. The pockets should be way bigger. The belt loops are too tight. I had to break the loops in with my belt. I really do like these pants and I would recommend them to friends and coworkers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too Tight on Butt! I wanted to buy some women's Dickies because the men's fit like, well, men's pants. I have wider hips and a bigger butt and I thought that if I went through the Dickies website to get a women's pant, it would fit my body/womanly figure better. However, it fit the exact same as men's. The waste gaped and it was really tight on the butt. It did fit my hips though which is typically the hardest part of my body to accommodate. I give it two stars because they had such the potential to be perfect, but they just fit exactly like a men's pant. What's the point of making "WOMEN'S" work pants if they aren't going to take the different shapes into consideration?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mini pockets I find at my work these pockets are way to mini yet should you really have things in your pockets while at work. I carry a case cutter and sharpie and constantly loose them on the bathroom floor if I forget to remove them. I do also keep lens cleaner throw away clothes in them and that is the only thing useful about the pockets. The fit is durable and bends well with an active on the go type of manufacturing work. The knees hold up to bending down and actually touching a concrete floor. I bought these over a year ago and they are still in great shape. Only thing is they have discontinued size 1. This makes me sad to know I have to shop for a different brand of work pants.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I still wear them... I bought a pair of the women's work pants a few months ago. I'm not sure exactly what type of work is expected in low rise pants. I'm a brewer and am constantly squatting, bending, and kneeling. The women's work pants leave no room to move, and sit right on my hips. The pockets are maybe 2" deep. There are no tools I use that can fit in there...I can't even fit my phone in any of the pockets, front or back. If you want to look like you do work, and look cute, these are for you. But for me; it's function over fashion. The quality is decent, however they wear out in the thighs (for me at least, size 14) and I think the polyester blend, heat, and water don't mix well. I'll stick to the men's pants. Those are higher waited, and more durable. Again, it's function over fashion. These might work for you, they just don't work for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great pair of pants. I bought these pants for industrial work. They're a perfect fit and look just like I hoped for. The petite size is right length too.The back pockets are deep enough for my wallet and cell phone. And the front pockets are deep enough for my wire cutters and scissors, ink pen along with pockets change. And none of it falls out when I sit down. I bought one pair of the Navy blue, I like them so much I'm going to buy another pair. I hope Dickies will be able to have petite for size 4 and 2. Because I plan to lose weight in the near near future. If I have to I'll wear the ones I have but really hope to get appropriate size when I lose 25lbs!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good solid work pants Good cut for a female. Low waisted and roomy in the hips and thighs. Great water proofing, will repel water splashes, and stains, and dirt wipe off. I'm a firefighter so this is KEY! They are a little rough and itchy, but iron and press well, holding a crease if needed. I Wish the pockets in the back were bigger and deeper. Everything falls out. The side pockets are good, would be nice to have a cell phone pocket somewhere on the leg. They hold up well with heavy washing and maintain their color. Overall, good pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These need real pockets! Like the other women, I agree that the overall cut is great, but the pockets are pretty much useless. I have a small cell phone and it dropped out of the front (deepest) pocket while I was walking. Why do manufacturers keep designing womens' clothes this way? The construction, fabric, and cut are great. That's why I bought them. I will try to sew in deeper pockets so I can use them at work (machine shop). Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Company Stewardship I bought a pair of Women's Original 774® Work Pants size 12 L. When the arrived I realized they were too big so I ordered 10 L pants, which arrived and were just right. When I called to get a return number for the size 12 L pants I had, they told me they would refund my credit card, but too just donate the size 12 pants to a good cause. Wow! Never heard that before. I know that it is probably better for Dickies bottom line in the long run. After all they were only around $25 so the return cost, tracking and restocking may have been more than the original cost, but still, kudos to you for actually thinking about it, doing the analysis and making it happen. My kind of company.
