sizing so confusingI ordered the regular 874 and these ones and I dont get at all what's going on with the sizes. probably the small size could fit to a 9 yo kid

36x34 desert sandSeems just like the 874 originals but longer belt loop and I like that but hopefully they get more black in stock with black if not I’ll just have to go back to the 874 flex at Walmart and find a skinny belt to fit through the loops
Also the flex 874 that are sold at Walmart are nice just not as thick

New 847 tailored seat and upgraded detail847flex upgrade: fabric feels more heavy weight and stiff. They are 2 inch less baggy at the crotch having a more refined seat( I tape measured size 34waist). Esthetically the soft pockets, waist button, zipper contrast, and skateboard patch make the pants look and feel refined. I suggest one size up if you have the same issue with 847flex( i wear a 33 straight jeans but a 34 in an 847flex). If a 847flex fits you like a slim fit( meaning very close to the skin), I suggest 2 sizes up from a purchase i made to correct an order for my kid who wears a 29 slim straight jean. These 847 will shrink a half to one waist size depending on your dryer, the same for the length. If these pants were perfect, they need a wrinklefree treatment, a correct size label, and skip the ugly man print on the inner waist band.

A wee snugRuns smaller than normal. One pair I got has the stitches in the pocket already apart and I have not worn them yet. Otherwise I like them. Just a little snug compared to everything else I have in a 34.

Nice refined update to the 874I was a little skeptical because of the reviews before purchase. I bought a size larger and they fit great after the first wash. The waist shrunk one size down and the length also shrunk a size(30to 29). I am perfectly happy with the khaki color. Describe it like mixing milk into coffee. The crotch area is 12 inches from top of button to the crotch where as 874 originals are 14inches. This gives a more clean refined look so, if you fill in the original 874s completely I suggest these might not work for you.

size up size up size upThe pants themselves are well constructed but when the reviews say they run small, they run SMALL. I'm a 5'8" 130lb woman who generally wears a 26-28 depending on style, and I figured with these being men's pants that I would be fine with a 28, but I couldn't even get them all the way on. I sized up to a 30 and those fit snugly. The inseam is also on the short side (the 32 inseam barely skims the floor on me), so go longer if you are lanky.
